NYE PARTY AT THE JACOBSONS

Mommy donned her ball gown, Daddy his tuxedo (and new beard!) ... Bess her Belle dress and the General? He just wanted sparkles.

First, we danced to Broadway show tunes (The Farmer and the Cowman, Dites-moi, etc.).

We toasted the new year with bubbly, sparkling apple and smoked salmon blinis.

We made a feast with steak, spinach, rice, salad and for desert, vanilla ice cream with Sammy's homemade chocolate sauce.

All the best for 2010 and HAPPY NEW YEAR ! !

THE WRIGGLY NATIVITY

Bess had the honor of performing as an Innkeeper and belting out tunes about Baby Jesus, Frankensense, the King of the World, camels and Bethlehem... You can only imagine how proud we are that she continues to sing these fine songs around the house...

R.I.P. SAAB

It's a dark day for Finbar. You see, once upon a time, Finbar lived in the Windy City and bought himself a car he had long desired....a Saab 900 Turbo. 5 speed manual, sunroof, CD changer, and the all important turbometer.

He drove many miles back and forth between NYC and Chicago in that car. And now, the news about Saab being no more...well, it's going down like a bitter pill.

Chin up Finny, the Red Rocket will always live on in your heart.

THANKSGIVING

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISMAKUH....BUT FIRST, THANKSGIVING

Ode to Molly R...We ventured across the Atlantic for our favorite holiday....were rather remiss with photography but a few highlights were of course seeing old Londoners.

WHAT UP ON THE FOOTIE?!!

Nothing like a bit of football in gale force winds! The General braved wind and mud and narrowly avoided torrential rain. All in the name of football. GOAL!

VOILA!

ODE TO A HAIRCUT

In the chair
Ponytail....before haircut
Last hairwash before the big cut...hair down to her bum!
Bess was interested in seeing what all the fuss was about with regard to haircuts. So off the family went to Mr. Eric for trims for all (except Sammy). Sammy was a wee bit nervous...hovered...but alas, Mr. Eric is a star and did a brill job! Bess still has loads of curls and a little less blonde at the ends (which the beach will fix). Gorgeous!
