UN, DEUX, TROIS

Just back from a few days in Marrakech. Superb! Had a big Halloween party tonight. Having technical blogging troubles. So here's a teaser.

HALLOWEEN 2010

We decided to go BIG this year. Was a ball. Not sure I'd do it again (says Sammy!).

A WEEKEND IN THE COUNTRY...

...with buddies, a first horseback ride and a hunt!

AND SEPTEMBER BECAME OCTOBER...

Wow! We returned from our summer travels, launched headlong into school, and before we could blink, half-term and Halloween are nearly upon us!

Here are some of the greatest hits of the past few weeks...

SUMMER

Every August, we have the unbelievable pleasure of spending a few weeks with family and friends in New England. We all look forward to this time throughout the year. Tomorrow Bess starts Year One. This seems like the big leagues now. Sammy is a bit sentimental. So here are a few highlights of our time away. As the pictures go up, I notice a few trends, some new (gingham) and some re-occuring (a certain someone's birthday (in this case, 5th) (just how many times must we celebrate!)), swimming, fish, ice cream, pools, beaches, our sacred time on Nantucket (this year in soaking rains)...

We ended our month long journey with a fab night in Boston with Uncle Bo and Auntie Stephanie. First stop, the aquarium. Then on to Faneuil Hall and Durgen Park for dinner. We bedded down in a room overlooking Logan and beyond that, the twinkling lights of Boston and the Atlantic Ocean. The sun set and we bid adieu until next summer.

THROUGH BESS'S EYES

Bess got a hold of the camera...she did pretty well and then there were some funny ones....

NANTUCKET 2010

Thankfully, we pulled off the ferry to hot sunny weather and plunged ourselves into the Ocean. Unfortunately, it was not to last. We quickly became Nantucket historians, visiting all the many rich and delightful museums on the island...from the Whaling Museum, to the Museum of Lifesaving and Rescues, to the Oldest House....they were all great. And by the afternoon, when we'd had enough, we hit the hot 'pool.' Still, it's a magical place so bad weather or not, we loved our time there.

JUST DO IT

In our continuing quest to get the kids hiking, we hit the Appalachian Trail. Grandma Helen and Grandpa "Rolls can Hardly" Ike thankfully live in the most beautiful corner of Connecticut, down the road from an AT outlet. So off we went to try and get to the top of Lion's Head. We had medium expectations. But we all made it. Awesome! Finbar and Sammy are bursting with pride!!!!!

WILLIAMS

If Finbar is in New England, he feels an immense draw to Billsville. So off we went. It was a perfect Williams day.
