IN HONOR OF OUR MOTHER'S

We have such exciting news here in the Close. A Peahen, a lady peacock to those of you who are not as schooled on the Peacock families as we are, has lain some eggs on our neighbors roof. She wisely chose a flat first story roof whose inhabitant had not yet returned from Bahrain. After a week of sitting on the eggs, the neighbor returned and we are all keeping an eager eye on the hen. It apparently takes two weeks for the eggs to hatch. There are 4 eggs and a very protective mum and dad roaming about....such a racket here in the Close...at all hours! We are so excited and slightly nervous about the babies...how will they get down from the roof and across the road to the park? I suppose that is where Mother Nature shall demonstrate her full force.
